Meet Our Team

Meet Our Founder
The Rev. Christine L. McCloud
Rev. Christine (Chris) L. McCloud had a mission to establish an agency that focused on facilitating a person’s ability to become self-sufficient. She wished to help individuals break the cycles of violence, substance abuse, poverty, and incarceration that have permeated their lives and kept them at increased risk for homelessness. As a result, Rev. Chris founded Turning Point Community Services, Inc., in 2002, with the sole purpose of providing safe and secure emergency shelter and supportive services for homeless women and their children.
After 18 years leading the agency, Rev. Chris retired as the Executive Director of Turning Point Community Services, Inc., and now resides in Glen Arm, Md., working for The Episcopal Diocese of Maryland as the Canon for Mission.
