Alexis Smith
Servant’s House Director
Alexis is a proud graduate from Rutgers University with a B.A. in Public and Nonprofit Administration. As a first-generation college student and recipient of the Cooperman Scholars Program and Rutgers Future Scholars Program, she is passionate about making higher education accessible for underserved youth.
As Program Director of our Servant’s House Emergency Housing Program, she is responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of our 70-bed non-congregate women and children emergency shelter. Alexis fosters a collaborative and compassionate environment among her staff, volunteers, and residents. She has orchestrated transformative initiatives that go beyond providing basic necessities. Alexis is committed to advocating for the unhoused community and works endlessly to strengthen partnerships with local organizations to provide opportunities and resources for those in need.
