Moms on the Move—Celebrating Resilience and Strength

When women arrive at our Servant’s House emergency shelter, they often come with little more than hope. They face significant obstacles—limited resources, job opportunities, and education. However, TPCS provides a safe haven where these mothers receive essential wrap-around clinical and supportive services.

One of our proudest accomplishments is when we are able to shine a spotlight on some of these incredible mothers who have graduated outside of our walls. They exemplify resilience and determination, overcoming immense challenges to build a brighter future for themselves and their children.

Thanks to our dedicated staff and community support, our moms have not only secured jobs, but also learned vital skills in financial literacy and money management to help set them up for long-term success. With guidance, they have navigated the complexities of finding stable housing, taking significant steps toward independence.

Join us in celebrating these remarkable mothers who embody the spirit of perseverance. Their stories inspire us all, reminding us of the power of community and the impact of supportive services. Together, we can continue to uplift and empower families in need.

Let’s celebrate our Moms on the Move!

A Seat at the TPCS Table

On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, during National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, join us for our inaugural event: A Seat at the TPCS Table. This intimate evening will feature a top-notch chef and an expert sommelier.

This fundraising event will directly support our new commercial kitchen space, which will provide our shelter families with essential cooking resources. The kitchen will not only serve personal needs but will also host cooking and nutrition classes designed for our mothers and their children, empowering them with vital skills for healthier living.

For inquiries about sponsorship opportunities and seating arrangements, please contact Dawn Schwartz at dschwartz@tpcsinc.org.

Save the date, we can’t wait to see you there!

How to Help

In the spirit of national financial literacy month, we are excited to announce our initiative to build a volunteer pool dedicated to supporting the moms at our shelter. Our goal is to empower these women with essential financial knowledge and skills, helping them gain confidence in managing their finances. If you have a passion for teaching financial literacy or want to contribute your time and expertise, we invite you to join us. Together, we can make a positive impact on their lives and foster a brighter future.

Here are some ways you can show your support:

  • Participate in sessions on a monthly or weekly basis, according to your availability.
  • Offer your expertise in person or virtually, making it easier to connect.
  • Share resources, materials, and tools that can assist in financial education.
