We provide assistance to women and children through our Servant’s House Emergency Housing Program. Access to our Servant’s House shelter is provided through Essex County’s Division of Family Assistance and Benefits (DFAB).
DFAB is an intake center that temporarily assists with the emergent/temporary financial, medical, and shelter needs of families and individuals. DFAB determines eligibility and placement for families in need of shelter stay. For more information on DFAB, click here.
If you or someone you know is struggling with homelessness within Essex County, you can contact DFAB by calling 973-395-8000 or visit their office located at 320 University Ave, Newark, NJ 07103.
