Nurys De La Cruz

Director of Clinical + Supportive Services

Nurys De La Cruz, LMHC, LPC, is a bilingual therapist and Clinical Director whose journey into mental health is deeply personal. Growing up in a Latino household where mental health was often misunderstood and stigmatized, she experienced firsthand the challenges that prevent so many from seeking help. This personal history is the foundation of her mission: to educate and empower underserved communities, providing them with the mental health services they deserve in a language they understand and with the cultural sensitivity they need.

With over ten years of experience, Nurys now provides clinical leadership at Turning Point Community Services, overseeing the Clinical and Supportive Services Division for families in housing programs. She is passionate about using a person-centered, trauma-focused approach to help individuals and families build resilience. In her role, she also supervises and mentors the next generation of clinicians, ensuring the field continues to grow with competent, compassionate providers.

Nurys is not just a therapist and director; she is a dedicated advocate, breaking down barriers and transforming the narrative around mental health in the communities she serves.
