October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Turning Point Community Services is dedicated to advocating for survivors, remembering those lost to abuse, and networking with other organizations for change.
Fleeing from a violent partner or sexual abuse in the home is one of the leading causes of homelessness for women. As we shed light on this critical issue, let’s remember that together, we can break the silence and build a future free from violence.
TPCS is committed to offering a safe haven for those escaping the cycle of homelessness. Join us in spreading awareness and support for all survivors. To get help today, call 1-800-799-7233.
New Laundry Facilities
BEFORE
AFTER
Exciting News from TPCS— construction of our resident laundry facility is complete!
We are thrilled that we were able to transform this once unusable space into a room with a purpose that fulfills a need for our families.
This development holds immense significance for the well-being of our community. Access to clean clothing is not always readily available for our families, leading to increased vulnerability to transmissible diseases, absenteeism from work or school, and decreased self-confidence.
Thanks to the establishment of this dedicated laundry space and the generous in-kind donations of laundry products, our residents no longer have to worry about leaving the safety of the shelter or bearing the burden of laundry expenses during their time of saving and rebuilding.
How To Help
TPCS is always working to support our residents. If you would like to participate in either of these campaigns, please contact our Chief Development Officer Dawn at dschwartz@tpcsinc.org.

Transforming Lives, One Room at a Time
As the holiday season approaches, our hearts are filled with the spirit of generosity, and we’re on a mission to make it extra special for our families. We aim to bring smiles, laughter, and cherished moments to their lives by granting their holiday wishes—whether it’s a new toy, a coveted clothing item, or something they’ve been yearning for all year long.
But we can’t do it alone, we need your help to make their dreams come true! Each family, ranging from 2 to 5 members, shares their heartfelt holiday wish list with us. This is where you come in. You have the power to choose a family based on its size, and then embark on a magical journey to fulfill their wishes. Your generosity takes the form of beautifully wrapped presents, carefully selected based on their dreams and hopes. And for those who prefer flexibility, there’s also the option to spread joy through gift cards.
Join us in creating unforgettable holiday memories for our families—it’s not just a gift, it’s a chance to touch hearts and make dreams come true!
Before a new mother and her family find solace in our shelter, TPCS takes swift action to ensure they have a warm and welcoming space. We give their private room a fresh coat of paint, mend fixtures, provide brand-new bedding and towels, and supply all the essentials they need for a fresh start.
Our clients, while under our care, also benefit from supportive services and communal spaces designed to nurture independence and guide them on the path out of homelessness. But we can’t do this alone, it takes a community of compassionate individuals and caring companies to create these life-changing environments for the families we serve.
Whether you’re an individual contributing whatever amount feels right to you or a corporation looking to make a substantial impact, your support is invaluable. Every dollar counts, and we believe in transparency. We’ve detailed where your donations go in our Engagement Opportunities deck.
No contribution is too big or small to transform lives. Please, join us today in making a difference.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed corporate community partner, Energy Capital Partners.
For over two decades, we have been immensely fortunate to receive significant support primarily from government grants. These funds have played a pivotal role in sustaining and expanding TPCS. However, we recognize the importance of diversifying our funding sources and forging partnerships across various sectors to fortify the health and resilience of our organization.
Energy Capital Partners has exemplified commitment and generosity by not only sponsoring 15 of our resident families during the holidays, ensuring their wish lists are fulfilled, but also making a substantial donation of $10,000 to TPCS.
The funds will underwrite the costs of our emergency shelter and clinical + supportive services staff training and development. Ultimately, their upskill training will create a more positive, safe, and secure environment for all. We deeply appreciate Energy Capital Partners for embracing our mission and entrusting us with their generous support.
