Planting The Seeds For New Programs At TPCS
At TPCS, we believe that joy, inspiration, and empowerment are all important ingredients in the services we provide to our women and families. That’s why we continue to create and implement programs to support their growth and stability.
This April, we’ve introduced a brand new Financial Literacy program in collaboration with Kearny Bank, just in time for National Financial Literacy Month. Financial literacy is pivotal in combatting poverty and enhancing well-being. It equips individuals with vital skills in saving, investing, and building credit, paving the way for long-term stability.
Our belief in the transformative power of such programs is unwavering. By educating our clients, we empower them to make informed decisions and maximize their financial resources.
Another new program we’ve established is our monthly ‘Table Talk’ sessions where our residents request a topic and we host discussions facilitated by case managers or experts in that field. If you are interested in ways you could collaborate with us, reach out below
Upcoming Events
If you enjoy golfing, join us for CIANJ’s Annual Golf Outing on May 20th at the Upper Montclair Country Club. We are thrilled to be the Golf Outing’s Philanthropic Partner.
How to Help
There are numerous ways organizations, families, and individuals can support TPCS.
While we greatly appreciate financial contributions of all sizes to help underwrite our programs and services, we also welcome donations of holiday goody bags, meals, and gifts for our families, as well as year-round collections of baby items, toys/books, feminine products, toiletries, and more. It’s as easy as clicking here to donate.
For companies and membership organizations, please consider:
- Hosting a goody bag-making event or drive for the TPCS families.
- Donating a percentage of your next event’s proceeds in support of our cause.
- Collaborating with us on a unique campaign or special event that aligns with your business purpose while supporting the TPCS mission.
These philanthropic opportunities can be enhanced by photo opportunities, check presentations for joint press releases and social media sharing, and an informative discussion with Karimah A. Hagans, Esq., Executive Director, TPCS.

Donor Spotlight
We are so excited to announce that TPCS is growing to include a comprehensive Clinical + Supportive Services (CSS) division. This was made possible in part by the generosity of The Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey.
This new division takes a holistic approach to helping our women and families by providing a range of wrap-around services for their mental and physical well-being. Our dedicated CSS team will offer vital mental health support, counseling, and therapy to empower individuals to cope with trauma, address underlying issues, and develop effective coping strategies.
But that’s not all—our program goes beyond traditional support avenues. We offer workshops covering essential life skills, parenting guidance, job readiness, financial literacy, cooking and nutrition, health & wellness, and GED preparation.
This program will enable us to expand and enhance our services, reaching even more individuals in need and providing them with the resources and support necessary to thrive.
If you’re looking to be a part of our 2024 contributors, head to tpcsinc.org/donate-today or contact Dawn to learn more.
We were also honored to be named the beneficiary of 10% of sales from the “Embellished” exhibition in March, featuring talented artists Chrissy Mcintyre, Erin Pickering, and Liz Munro. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and generosity.
New to the TPCS Team
Help us give a warm welcome to the newest addition to the TPCS team, Linda V. Reyes. Linda received her B.A. in Liberal Studies with a concentration in psychology and sociology from William Paterson University, receiving a Cum Laude Medal in May 2023. Her fluency in English and Spanish, positive attitude, and people skills are already valuable assets to the team. Linda has assumed the Executive Assistant role that primarily serves as the support to the executive team who are thrilled to have the opportunity to mentor and empower her in the beginning stages of her career.
