What’s New at TPCS!

Celebrating the Big, the Small, and Everything in Between

Here at Turning Point Community Services, we believe every milestone matters. In 2025, we supported 83 families through some of the most challenging moments of their lives by providing:

  • Emergency Housing
  • Case Management
  • Life Skills and Education Services
  • Mental Health Services
  • Housing Navigation

While many of our families left our shelter with safety plans and clear next steps, we also proudly celebrated 37 families who received the keys to their very own homes.

Here We Have One of Our Success Stories

Ms. Carrasquilla is a first generation citizen who has always prioritized her children’s safety and education. During her five months in the shelter, she remained focused, positive, and determined. As a DV survivor, amazing mom, and hardworking woman, she actively participated in our financial literacy and HAP programs, while her children joined the after school program.

Ms. Carrasquilla was one of our most respectful and helpful residents, truly a blessing to have. She insisted her children be in the photo because they have been on this journey together.

After a long road of homelessness, trauma, and limited support, she is now in a stable home with a housing voucher, a job, and children who are thriving in school. We are so proud of her.

We are deeply humbled and incredibly proud to have been Ms. Carrasquilla’s family, as well as a safe stop on the way home for every mother led family we serve.

Over Two Decades of Impact

As many of you know, TPCS has been serving the community for more than 20 years. Some of you have been with us long enough to witness just how far we have come. We invite you to take a moment to watch a short video highlighting our journey and growth over the years.

Gratitude to Our Funders and Partners

None of this would be possible without the generosity and partnership of our supporters.

We are honored to share that The Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey has awarded TPCS $150,000 for year two of our Clinical and Supportive Services Division. In addition, our partners at The Schumann Fund for New Jersey have renewed their support with a $50,000 grant for our Housing Assistance Program.

These investments have also enabled us to leverage additional matching funds from government and other funding sources, strengthening and expanding our impact across the communities we serve.
